The Green Foundation Service (GREFOS) offers a unique opportunities in Zanzibar for those who wish not only to travel, but to journey.  Zanzibar, an Archipelago in the Indian Ocean 25 miles from the mainland Tanzania, is known world-wide for tis equatorial beauty, beaches, and cultural diversity.  Its ancient city, stone Town.

Yet elsewhere in Zanzibar, rural communties face pressing need.

Provided Clean Drinking Water

The GREFOS Foundation, with cooperation from a government agency, built a water pump that is currently providing clean drinking water to the Mlilile village in Zanzibar.  The local people would have to get water  from a cave, which was approximately two miles away, but by providing the the well, they now have access to  much needed clean water.
